Environmental Sustainability Management Policy

Environmental Sustainability Management Policy

Policy
Comply with environmental laws and regulations, fulfill environmental protection responsibilities, operate green, and become a sustainable enterprise.
Goal
According to the regulations of the Energy Bureau, each plant will implement energy-saving measures every year, with the goal of electricity saving management: electricity saving must reach more than 1% of annual electricity consumption; and strengthen climate resilience, and production interruption after climate disasters will be 0 days. Another energy-saving water management goal: reduce annual water use by 1%.
Commitment

Use due diligence and early warning communication methods to strengthen environmental risk management and reduce the impact on personnel and the environment; comply with environmental laws and regulations, and do a good job in energy conservation and carbon reduction, and sort domestic waste.

  • Comply with obligations: follow obligations and enhance image.
  • Strengthen communication: involve all employees and enhance cognition.
  • Environmental protection: pollution prevention, impact control.
  • Continuous improvement: improve performance and operate sustainably.
Resource Invested
  1. Air conditioning equipment replaced with inverter motors.
  2. LED lights were used throughout the plant.
  3. Energy-efficient design was adopted for processing equipment. In January 2025, an induction furnace heating system integrated with smart meters was commissioned to replace the original fuel-fired heating. With an investment of NT$2.19 million, this transition has achieved a reduction of over 85% in direct carbon emissions (Scope 1), demonstrating significant carbon mitigation benefits..
  4. The construction of a 283.7KW solar power system for the main plant was completed, with an investment of approximately 12 million RMB, and the annual power generation can reach more than 350,000 kWh.
  5. All forklifts in the main plant were replaced with electric forklifts.
  6. Electric vehicle charging stations were added to the main plant dormitory to encourage employees to use electric vehicles.
  7. Low-temperature distillation equipment was used to reduce wastewater discharge.

Concrete Results

01

The existing oil furnace heating equipment was replaced with frequency induction heating, which significantly reduced carbon emissions by more than 85%, resulting in significant carbon emission reduction benefits.

02

Solar power generation is self-consumed, complying with green electricity standards. As of December, 2025 total CO2 reduction was approximately 550 tons.

03

Although purchased electricity consumption in 2025 (114th year of the ROC) is projected to increase by 257 MWh compared to 2024 due to the adoption of induction furnace heating, the overall carbon footprint will still decrease by approximately 11.82% as a result of the significant reduction in heavy fuel oil usage.

04

Wastewater collection volume decreased.
